Mr Kirk is an Indigenous Research Officer at the Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Inala Indigenous Health Service). Mr Kirk has participated in a number of research projects over the last two years. These have included: interviewing patients who have discharged themselves from hospital against medical advice  (DAMA) and interviewing patients participating in a multi-site study, “Getting it Right: the a_PHQ validation study”. In addition to involvement in research projects, Corey has been involved in community engagement activities to enhance the relationship between the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents at Inala and the Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.

Mr Kirk is involved in COMPaRE-PHC's study of health literacy among patients presenting to the CoE Primary Health Care Clinic.
