Training for GPs and PNs

The 3-hour training session for GPs and PNs (including the Prevention Navigators) covered the management of obese patients across the 5As of the chronic disease model approach – Assess, Advise, Agree, Assist and Arrange. This was available as a PowerPoint presentation with audio in two parts. Only PDF versions (without audio) are available below.

Training for care navigators

The Practice Nurses were trained in:

• the concept of care navigation and their role in this
• their role and tasks for the BMWGP study, including patient recruitment, conducting a health check, and follow up.
